Meet your local Mornington Peninsula Copywriter

Meet your local Mornington Peninsula Copywriter

While I may tout myself as a (very fancy) Melbourne-based copywriter, I actually hail from the humble suburb of Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula. (‘Melbourne copywriter’ isn’t a flat out lie by the way, I’m just technically in the southeast.)

So if you’re a Peninsula local too and you want to jazz up your website copy, publish some exciting blog articles, or get your marketing materials in order – I’d LOVE to work with you. Working with locals is so rewarding, as I found out recently doing some work with The Niche Man! And I’m flattered to report that it was a reciprocal feeling.

So why should you work with me? To put it plainly:

I’m the best Mornington Peninsula Copywriter you’ll find, because…

I “get” the Peninsula

I’ve lived here my whole dang life!

Not true. I lived in South Australia between the ages of 4 and 8 actually. And I lived closer to the city for a while in my early twenties, to get experience and all of that.

But for the most part, I’m ingrained in the local community. My family is here, I’m raising my son here, I went to school here, and I worked in retail and tourism here before launching my copywriting career. (Shoutout to the Peninsula Hot Springs, where I gained all my confidence speaking on the phone!)

I know what life is like down here (outstanding), and what challenges us locals face (how to avoid tourists in summer). I know the best coffee places, and can also now proudly locate the best children’s playgrounds too.

I can meet you IRL

(That’s ‘in real life’.)

There’s something to be said for meeting your content writer in person. While Zoom is all well and good (and necessary, sometimes – #pandemic), because I’m in your local area I’m happy to catch up for coffee to discuss your project needs in person. Or even midway through our work together for a cheeky update chat.

By meeting in person, you can enjoy my charming personality in the flesh! And if you have a business nearby, I’d love to check it out. It honestly helps with the writing process.

I’m very experienced

I mentioned those few years spent living near the city… Believe me, I would have stayed local if there was work going nearby, but as you’re probably aware there isn’t a huge marketing industry on the Peninsula. It’s growing, but back in my day as a fresh grad it wasn’t common to secure a job locally.

In my early career I worked at a franchising firm, a university, a content agency, and a major bank, all before launching my own copywriting business and working with clients across a range of industries. I’ve picked up so much experience and heaps of skills along the way.

So while I can apply unique Mornington Peninsula knowledge to my work with local businesses, I also bring the latest industry best practices to the table. Learn more about my skills and expertise over on my About Page.

I love your work

And of course you’re just a hypothetical Mornington Peninsula business owner in my mind as I write this, but I can pretty well guarantee that I want to work with you. The Peninsula is home to amazing local businesses and startups – our community’s creativity inspires me every day! I’m ready to get aggressively interested in what you do, and how I can come onboard as your local Mornington Peninsula copywriter.

Get in touch today and let’s talk about how I can help you.
